For All Float Entries

Thank you for entering Falmouth Carnival 2025 on Saturday 9th August. In order to comply with event safety and legal documentation required for the event, we will require the following information for your FLOAT entry no later than Saturday 2nd August 2025 in order for us to process the relevant information ahead of the event.

We have put together a guide to float/parade safety: 
– please review the information for your safety in the guide before filling in the form for FLOAT entry vehicle information by clicking the GREEN button below.

To ensure a safe and enjoyable day for all carnival and parade participants and viewers, please take note of the following information for the event.

11:00
Toilet access opened at Falmouth Rugby Clubhouse.

12:00
  – Falmouth Rugby Clubhouse Bar Opens for refreshments.
  – Floats invited to arrive “Peter Phillis” will be in contact to discuss.
 
15:00
Collection Bucket & General Information Station Opens (next to Clubhouse).

16:00 – 17:00
Judging of Floats at the Rugby Club. Please ensure your Float Entry has arrived and passed its safety checks at Scrutineering by 15:00
– 1st, 2nd, 3rd Rosettes will be handed out by our VIP’s and Judges on The Moor during the procession.
 
All entries will be given a procession number by a member of the Carnival Committee at the Rugby Club between 16:30 – 18:00 which will act as a guide for your positioning in Carnival.
To optimise the best parade lineup for the Carnival we will endeavour to keep musical entrants apart while ensuring a visual feast.

18:00 – 18:30
Base Parade Coordinator Peter Phillis Lines up Marching Parade and Floats for the start of the Parade and will stagger and release as required.
– the parade will be a mix of Marching & Floats.
– All Floats require two wheel marshals to be provided.

18:30
– Start of Carnival Parade.

Important Note:
– Marching Parade ends at Events Square Discovery Quay and participants are encouraged to find the safest route home.
– Floats are instructed to return to the Recreation Ground Rugby having completed the Carnival Route at the end of Grove Place for a safe departure.

Collection Buckets:
– All Collection buckets are to be handed at the collection point at the end of the Carnival route on Grove place adjacent to the Kimberley Monument.
– We remind you that all money collected is under licence of The Falmouth Marine Band to be distributed under ballot to local charities and groups.
*Under no circumstances is anyone allowed to collect for themselves or other charities or groups.

Collection Hi-vis:
– Any Hi-vis jackets that are provided for the Carnival Parade need to be handed back with your collection buckets if you are in the marching parade, or in the case of floats handed back at the Falmouth Rugby Club. 


Photography:
– Our event will be photographed and by entering the Falmouth Carnival you are opting in to be part of the Spirit of Falmouth. We understand that in certain circumstances there may be safeguarding to be considered for minors. It is your responsibility to inform us before the parade should for any reason any individual should not be publicised by Falmouth Carnival. We can not take responsibility for any outside parties outside our official photographers.
